c1953-1955 Rare Claire McCardell Metallic Check SunglassesThese are fabulous and quite rare. McCardell was known for her ability to make sportswear chic and she as one of the early designers to not just offer up a dress but she produced the entire look including sunglasses. I have included an ad from 1953 and also found examples of her work held at The Met. These are a great example with their bright metallic painted plastic frames.
